Part 1: Manoeuvres

Players have one ball each.

Players run around the area dribbling the ball. When the coach says spin, the players perform a spin and then carry on the exercise.

Players perform exercise for 45-seconds.

Players then lift the ball over the object back and forth for 45-seconds as active rest.

Repeat 3-times.

COACHING POINTS

Stick on ball, head up, squeeze bottom hand to lift, move ball first. Feet moving, speed of execution.

Part 2: Eliminations

1st player on each cone carries the ball at same time.

When players reach each object, they lift the ball over and carry.

When players reach the tyre, spin strong and carry the ball to the right cone.

When they reach the cones, next player will go and continue the exercise.

Players waiting their turn utilise static lifting.

COACHING POINTS

Stick on the ball, head up for vision. Speed is the focus, fast feet.

Part 3: Connections

Players on the cones carry the ball at the same time.

When they get to the object, lift the ball over and carry to the tyre.

When players reach the tyre, perform a reverse spin and pass the ball to the player waiting on the cone.

When they receive the ball, play a 1-2 before carrying the ball and continuing the exercise.

COACHING POINTS

Stick on the ball, head up for connection, hard pass. Execute skills and pass at speed.

Part 4: Small Group Gameplay

Continuous 1 V 1.

Players on the blue cones take each other on in 1v1 battle and try to score in goals A.

Game is continuous until someone scores or ball leaves the playing area.

As play ends, players on orange cones take each other on in 1 v 1 battle scoring in goals B.

Players can only score within shaded areas (2 yards).

COACHING POINTS

Confidence, aggression, drive into space. Change angle early, use deception, attack. Attack defender at speed, with purpose.
