Part 1: Manoeuvres
Red players on orange cones with 2 balls each and blue players between cones with 1 ball each.
Red players dribble both balls until they reach the blue cones in the middle, then dribble back to start. Both balls have to keep moving and they cant touch.
Blue players dribble 1 ball to the blue cones and back.
Time 45 seconds after which players swap positions and the blues dribble 2 balls.
Repeat 3-times.
COACHING POINTS
Stick on the ball, head up for vision, keep balls moving. Keep feet moving, quick thinking, focus on fluid speed.
Part 2: Connections
1 player on the backline of their square.
Blue player dribbles the ball forward to the front of square, makes a pass to the red player and back pedals back to the line.
Red player receives the pass and continues the exercise
Score 1 point for every completed pass. Coach times 3-minutes.
Repeat twice as players attempt to beat their previous score.
COACHING POINTS
Stick on the ball, head up, drive into space. Focus on speed, hard pass, keep feet moving.
Part 3: Small Group Gameplay
1 v 1 into 2 v 2 Battle.
Coach passes the ball into the field and the blue and red players enter into 1 v 1 battle within the shaded area.
Players can score in any D goal.
Whichever team scores in 1 v 1 battle, they carry the ball in from the corner and score in C goals.
Game becomes 2 v 2 across the entire playing area.
Battles last 45 seconds or until a goal is scored.
COACHING POINTS
Stick on ball, attack with aggression. Decide when to eliminate / pass. High intensity on and off the ball.
