Part 1: Manoeuvres

8 players within designated area.

4 players have 1 ball each. 

Players with the balls dribble around the area for 3 seconds before stopping the ball stationary at a free cone and leading away.

Players without a ball sprint to get to it and continue the exercise.

Coach times 3-minutes.

COACHING POINTS

Stick on ball, head up for vision, drive into space. Feet moving, focus on speed.

Part 2: Connections

Players in groups of 4.

Player A plays 3 passes with player B.

Player B receives 3rd pass and carries the ball, lifting over the cones, then spins around the tyre.

Player B then makes 3 passes with player C.

Player C receives the 3rd pass and passes the ball to waiting player D.

Players follow their pass.

Score 1 point for every complete rotation around the grid. Coach times 3-minutes.

Repeat twice, players attempt to beat previous score

Part 3: Small Group Gameplay

2 v 2 Adaptation.

1 player from each team starts back-to-back in the middle of the playing field - blue player has the ball.

1 player from each team starts at the diagonal corners of the playing area.

Coach says 'GO' and players in the middle run around the red cones while the players on the corners enter the playing area.

2 v 2 battle commences.

Teams can score in any goal at anytime within shaded area (2 yards).

Battles last 30 seconds or until a goal is scored.

COACHING POINTS

Stick on ball, head up for vision, identify space. When to pass/eliminate, decision-making, drive into space. Be aggressive, focus on speed, high intensity on and off the ball.
