Part 1: Manoeuvres

Red players on orange cones with 2 balls each and blue players between cones with 1 ball each.

Red players dribble both balls until they reach the blue cones in the middle, then dribble back to start. Both balls have to keep moving and they cant touch.

Blue players dribble 1 ball to the blue cones and back.

Time 45 seconds after which players swap positions and the blues dribble 2 balls. 

Repeat 3-times.

COACHING POINTS

Stick on the ball, head up for vision, keep balls moving. Keep feet moving, quick thinking, focus on fluid speed.

Part 2: Connections

Players start on the middle cone of their square.

Blue player carries the ball to corner cone and back to the middle dribbling around the small cone then passes to red player.

Red player receives the pass and continues the exercise.

Players carry the ball to a different corner cone after receiving each pass.

Score 1 point for every completed pass. Coach times 3-minutes.

Repeat twice as players attempt to beat previous score.

 COACHING POINTS

Change direction sharply, stick on the ball, drive into space. Keep feet moving, hard passes, focus on speed.

Part 3: Small Group Gameplay

Reactive 2 v 2.

1 player from each team starts at diagonal corners of the playing area.

Coach says 'GO' and passes ball in as all the players enter the playing area.

2 v 2 battle commences.

Players can score in any goal at any time, by carrying the ball between the blue cones before shooting.

Battles last 45-seconds or until a goal is scored.

COACHING POINTS

Stick on ball, confidence under pressure. When to eliminate/pass, drive into space. Keep feet moving, high intensity on and off ball.
