Part 1: Manoeuvres

Players start at each side of the square with 1 ball each.

Coach says 'GO' and all players carry ball across the square once (level 1).

Players avoid each other as they cross.

Players then have to perform the same action but increase it to level 2, 3, 4, 5 and then 6 crossings without stopping. 

2 second break in between each crossing. Repeat all levels twice.

COACHING POINTS

Stick on ball, head up to avoid players, drive into space. Keep feet moving, focus on speed.

Part 2: Connections

1 player starts on each cone.

2 players start with 1 ball each and dribble the ball towards tyre. 

When players get to tyre, pull the ball to the left or right and make a pass to a free player, while replacing them on the cone.

Players receives pass and continue the exercise.

Coach times 3-minutes. Repeat twice, players increase speed of skills & passing.

 COACHING POINTS

Stick on the ball, head up for vision, change speed. Keep feet moving, focus on speed.

Part 3: Small Group Gameplay

1 v 1 Battle - Simultaneous.

Defenders start with the ball and make a pass to the attackers.

Attackers carry the ball and aim to score at the other end of the playing area.

As soon as pass is made, defenders touch the orange cone and sprint after the attacker.

Both 1 v 1 battles happen simultaneously.

Either attacker or defender can score but must carry the ball through blue cones before shooting.

Battles last 30 seconds or until goal is scored.

COACHING POINTS

Comfort on the ball, decision-making under pressure. Drive into space, confidence. High intensity, focus on speed.
