Part 1: Manoeuvres

Players start at each side of the square with 1 ball each.

Coach says 'GO' and all players carry ball across the square once (level 1).

Players avoid each other as they cross.

Players then have to perform the same action but increase it to level 2, 3, 4, 5 and then 6 crossings without stopping. 

2 second break in between each crossing. Repeat all levels twice.

COACHING POINTS

Stick on ball, head up to avoid players, drive into space. Keep feet moving, focus on speed.

Part 2: Connections

1st player dribbles ball forward at speed.

When player arrives at the cone, make 3 passes with the waiting player between the cones.

As player receives 3rd pass, carries the ball forward continuing the exercise.

Score 1 point for every completed rotation.

Coach times 3-minutes. Repeat twice, players attempt to beat previous score.

Stick on ball, head up for vision, drive into space. Keep feet moving, fluid movement, focus on speed.

Part 3: Small Group Gameplay

Continuous 3 V 3.

3 v 3 battle commences and teams can score in any goal at any time, but must carry the ball through the blue cones before shooting (shaded).

Once teams score, they cannot score in the same goal consecutively.

Team which concedes begins with possession from the other side of the pitch.

Matches are 3 x 6-minutes.

COACHING POINTS

Confidence on the ball, head up for vision. Identify space and drive, when to pass/eliminate. Keep feet moving, high intensity on and off the ball.
