Part 1: Manoeuvres

1 ball per player.

Divide into 3 groups, starting in shaded areas. Players dribble the ball around the area.

After 25 seconds, coach says 'GO' and the players sprint with their ball to the next area.

Repeat the exercise for full 2 rotations and then repeat in the opposite direction.

COACHING POINTS

Stick on the ball, head up for vision, top hand works. Keep feet moving, strong body position.

Part 2: Eliminations

2 players on each cone, 1 ball per player.

First player on each cone dribbles the ball forward at same time. 

When players reach tyre, return back to the cone while dribbling ball backwards.

Once players return to the cone, next player continues the exercise.

Score 1 point every time players return to cone. 

Coach times 2-minutes. Repeat twice as players attempt to beat previous score.

COACHING POINTS

Stick on the ball, head up for vision, top hand focus. Keep feet moving, high intensity.

Part 3: Connections

1 player on each cone.

2 players dribble the ball into the circle and then make 3 passes with any other player on a cone.

Player receives 3rd pass and carries the ball continuing the exercise.

Coach times 3-minutes.

 COACHING POINTS

Stick on the ball, head up to find connection, expect pass back. Keep feet moving, drive at angles and into space.

Part 4: Small Group Gameplay

2 v 2 Battle.

1 player from each team starts back to back, on red cones either side of the playing area.

Coach says 'GO' and each player runs around opposite cones to enter the area where the coach passes a ball in.

Teams can score in any backward facing goal at anytime. 

If the ball leaves the area, coach passes another one in to keep battle going.

Battles last 1-minute or until a goal is scored.

COACHING POINTS

Head up for vision, be aggressive and go for the kill. Identify where other players are, identify space, identify when to pass/eliminate. High intensity on and off the ball, be a presence.
